FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Revotronics and our services.

FAQ

How does the restoration work?

After you have booked the service, you have to send
the e-shifter to us. As soon as the e-shifter has arrived, we will work
on diagnosing the error. We will replace the affected components and
clean the e-shifter inside and out, re-lubricate the gears and seal it
watertight. After a final test, we will send you your working e-shifter
back!

Does the restoration fix Error 44?

Error 44 is caused by a faulty connection between the bike and the
e-shifter. The most common cause is that the e-shifter is broken. After
the restoration and subsequent testing, error 44 should be resolved.

What happens if the e-shifter can't be saved?

If the error cannot be found, or a restoration is not possible, for example, due to water damage, we will only charge
shipping and transaction fees, the rest will be refunded.

Which components are replaced in the preventive package?

If you have booked the preventive package, we will proactively replace
the following components, which, in our experience, are most likely to
fail:

1x TVS Diode / ED1
3x 0 Ohm Resistor
1x 270k Resistor / R5
1x 51k Resistor / R6
2x 22 Ohm Resistor / R17 & R18
4x 10k Resistor / R27 & R1 & R7 & R25
2x 100 Ohm Resistor / R12 & R26
1x 0.680 Ohm Resistor / R3

Can I personally bring my e-shifter?

How do I take the e-shifter off my bike?
